Asian Festival

Since 2021, AAWAG, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), has hosted an annual festival promoting Asian culture. During this event, Asian countries present their handicrafts, traditional costumes, and cultural performances. Also not to be missed is authentic Asian culinary specialties – normally prepared by the chef of the ambassadors’ residence.

The Asian Festival 2025, themed “Jewels of Asia,” was a dazzling success, continuing the legacy of vibrant celebrations from previous years. With growing attendance and rising popularity, this year’s event brought even more color, culture, and community spirit.

The opening ceremony, led by our esteemed Guests of Honours chief of staff of the United Nations Mme. Lidiya Grigoreva, Deputy Director General from World Intellectual Property Mr. Hasan Kleib and AAWAG President Mme. Maria Consuelo Soretta, set the perfect tone. Their thoughtful speeches were a meaningful start to what became a truly memorable celebration.

The national stalls lit up the venue with unique products and treasures from each participating country—beautiful handicrafts, cultural icons, and popular items that reflected Asia’s incredible diversity.

One of the major highlights was the fashion show, where the audience was treated to stunning displays of traditional and modern jewelry, each piece telling a story of cultural heritage and timeless beauty.

The cultural performances once again brought energy and emotion to the festival with dynamic music and dance, celebrating the rhythms and traditions of Asia’s many cultures.

No one left hungry thanks to the incredible food stalls, serving flavors from across the continent. From street food favorites to signature national dishes, the culinary experience was a highlight on its own.

Adding to the excitement throughout the festival were the lucky draw prizes, which kept the crowd buzzing with anticipation. Prizes were announced at regular intervals, with each one bigger and more exciting than the last. From gift hampers to major giveaways, the lucky draws added an extra layer of fun and surprise for attendees of all ages.
