November AAWAG Monthly Meeting
The AAWAG monthly meeting for November was graciously hosted by Madame Maryam Al Ali at the Jordan Residence on 25 November. She extended a warm welcome to all members, and the session commenced under the guidance of our President, Madame Maria.
With heartfelt sincerity, Madame Maria announced the postponement of elections due to the absence of nominations for the position of 2026 President. . She also shared several important updates:
Donations have been successfully transferred to Myanmar (via IFRC) and Gaza (via WFP World Food Program).
A request has been submitted to WIPO for the date of the Asian Festival 2026, most probably in May as WIPO’s calendar for June has been filled up.
Members were encouraged to remain active on AAWAG’s social media platforms.
Gifts presented by the Mission of China to AAWAG may be sold at the UN Bazaar by participating countries.
The meeting also included heartfelt farewell tributes to our dear members Wency (China) and Dowi (South Korea). Tokens of appreciation were presented, and members gathered to capture memorable photographs together.
Later, Madame Maryam delighted everyone with a captivating demonstration of Ka’ak Al Eid, the beloved festive cookies of the Middle East, reimagined with a modern artistic touch. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to:

The gathering concluded with a delicious Jordanian lunch, after which attendees were kindly gifted cookies to take home.

Asian Festival 2025
The Asian Festival 2025, themed “Jewels of Asia,” was a dazzling success, continuing the legacy of vibrant celebrations from previous years. With growing attendance and rising popularity, this year’s event brought even more color, culture, and community spirit.
OUR BENEFICIARIES
The festival’s primary objective is to raise funds for humanitarian and social welfare causes, aiming to make meaningful contributions to countries in need due to challenging circumstances, conflicts, or the impact of natural disasters.
Through our ongoing efforts, AAWAG has provided essential support to various Asian countries, helping to alleviate suffering and aid recovery. Together, we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by adversity.
The Asian Ambassador Wives Association (AAWAG) is pleased to share that an amount of CHF 9,000 has been successfully transferred to the World Food Programme (WFP) for Gaza.
The donation has been officially acknowledged by Ms. Shanon Howard, Director of World Food Program (WFP).

The Asian Ambassador Wives Association (AAWAG) is pleased to announce 10,470.70 Chf. of the funds have been successfully donated to Myanmar through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which has been fully acknowledged and received.
This contribution aims to support relief and recovery efforts following the recent earthquake in Myanmar.
